How many bears do you think were in the area that you were in?

I'm not sure how many bears there were at our sampling sites in Canada or Alaska. I know in Tsiigehtchic there were some bears outside of the village, and the same was told to us in Pilot Station. However, I think that the bears and people in these areas have learned to co-exist for the most part so that the bears know not to come into the villages and that the people therefore in the villages respect the bears more.
