I was wondering, is the sampling in canada harder then the sampling here in alaska?
Dear Krista,
You asked an interesting question which I definatly had to think about. In some ways, sampling in Alaska was more difficult because it was a more remote location. We had to take a small plane to get the Pilot Station, whereas in Canada, we could take a car to Tsiigehtchic. So in that sense it was harder in Alaska. However, because the United States Geological Survey does work on the river in Alaska, the equipment and dealing with all the supplies was a little bit easier to deal with in Alaska than in Canada. So, I didn't really answer your question, so I guess there were parts that were easier and harder in each location....
