WALRUSES ARE WOW!!!

TODAY, I WENT TO A VERY WONDERFUL TALK ABOUT WALRUSES. CARLTON RAY, A WALRUS RESEARCHER, SHOWED US A POWERPOINT ABOUT WALRUSES AND ANSWRD OUR QUESTIONS. ONE THING WE LEARNED IS THAT THE HAIRS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE WALRUS’S FACE, ARE SOME OF THE STRONGEST HAIRS OF ALL HAIRS! THE WALRUSES ARE VERY CUTE, ESPECIALLY THE PUPS( THE BABIES)!!!WHEN THE FEMALES SWIM AWAY, THE PUPS TRY & KEEP UP. IF THEY CAN’T KEEP UP, ( WHICH THEY USUALLY CAN’T) THE FEMALES TURN AROUND, GO UNDERWATER, AND LET THE PUPS HAVE A “ WALRUS-BACK RIDE!” CARLTON, NOT ONLY TOLD US ABOUT WALRUSES, BUT ABOUT OTHER THINGS TOO!! BEFORE I TELL U ABOUT THOSE, LET ME TELL YOU 1 MORE THING ABOUT WALRUSES. THEY EAT A LOT!!! IN 1 DAY, WALRUSES EAT ABOUT 100 POUNDS!!!

HERE ARE SOME OTHER THINGS HE TALKED ABOUT!
SEA ICE
SEA ICE IS DECREASING RAPPIDLY
BEARDED SEALS
HAVE HUGE CLAWS LIKE A BEAR
RIBBON SEAL
THE LEAST COMMON SEAL IN THE ARTIC
SPOTTED SEAL
HAVE SHELTERS UNDER THE ICE 4 PUPS
RING SEAL
ABOUT THE SIZE OF AN OVERGROWN TURKEY

THE END!!!
