Hi Roni,

Well, before we started banding I wondered how aggressive the geese would be. My experience with domestic geese is that they can be quite aggressive and bite people. So, I wasn't suprised when the snow geese tried to bite us!

We tried to keep our fingers out of the way of their bills. They have serrations on the sides of the bill that are used to cut vegetation, so I didn't want my fingers cut by them either. Occasionally, we did get bit, often when they would try to grab our shirts or jackets and would get a pinch of skin, too!

Thanks for the question!
