Hey Crum!
How are you! It looks like you'r having fun with your tent and your oil pipes. I don't have a question yet. I'm glad that its warm there. The temp keeps changing here. One day its Hot and muddy the next it is raining and like 50 out! Its crazy! We Miss you Crum! So we graduate in three days! To bad your not gunna be here! sad.gif But it will be a nice day!
Enough about me. I was reading some quotes and one says that they think that Global Warming is more serious then Terrorism. I dunno if I agree with this. I mean yes Global warming is serious but people don't take it serious. Which I guess is kind of upseting. I mean we have millions of troops fighting terrorism but how many people do we actually have fighting global warming?!?! I do think that global warming is serious and I wish that people were trying harder to pervent it.
Well Crum I will keep writing and I hope that you have a good summer!

Interesting. The global warming/terrorism connection is one I have not heard before. I think it was probably said to draw attention to the fact that global warming is predictable and is happening whereas terrorism is very hard to predict and may or may not happen. Since I know nothing about the technical details of how to fight terrorism I will have to say that both are very serious problems and I don't really think it is that useful to compare them other than that.

In terms of how many people are working on global warming studies--alot. I don't have an exact number ( maybe someone at ARCUS does) but there are alot more than I thought when I began this project. There is reasearch going on all over the arctic, not just in Alaska and in Antarctica. Also research is happening in non polar places as well.

That's all I know for now-I'll try to ask some people and get back to you.

Mr. C.

Have a great summer.
