hi Bob, i just got done reading one of your articles about you passing by a glacier you study, now, what glacier do you study in norway, and why? polar bear trap! that looks very interesting, now lets say IF someone was just strolling by like you guys were, and then they took the shotgun and then skinned the bear, what would the people down there regularly do about it? because i'd be a pretty ticked off norwaian if that happen to me.

Hi herbert,
Great question. Th glacier was a small one near Kappe Linne called Linnebreen. It is against the law to kill Polar Bears and kill them so you would get in a lot of trouble if you did. The trap was an old one that was left by hunters probably back in the 1920's or 30's. Thanks for the question |
