CRAB TIME!!
I SEE CRABS A LOT HERE! YOU MAY THINK THAT ITS TOO COLD 4 THEM, BUT YOU’RE WRONG. USUALLY, AT EVERY STATION, WE DO A TRAWL! A TRAWL IS WHERE WE PUT A NET IN THE WATER, & LOWER TO THE BOTTOM. AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES, WE PULL IT UP AGAIN. THERES LOTS OF THINGS THAT WE HAVE FOUND!!! THERE HAVE BEEN CRABS, (DUH!) FISH, STARFISH, LITTLE SNAKE-LIKE THINGS, & LOTS OF OTHER STUFF! AFTER WE PULL IT UP, WE START SORTING. THERE I AM SORTING THROUGH THE STUFF FROM THE TRAWL!!! SORTING THROUGH THE ANIMALS CAN TAKE A LONG TIME! AND IT CAN HURT! WHEN I WAS SORTING THROUGH SOME CRABS (I WAS WEARING GLOVES) I STARTED BLEEDING! ONE OF THE CRABS HAD PINCHED ME. OWWWWWW!!!!! I HAVN’T SORTED CRABS SINCE!! MOSTLY, WE’VE HAD SNOW CRABS, BUT WE FOUND ONE SPECIAL CRAB. A KING CRAB!!! I HOPE I CAN EAT IT! I LOOOVE KING CRAB… COOKED & BUTTERED OF COURSE!!! HERE IS THE KING CRAB WE CAUGHT!! I THINK WE HAVE KING CRAB IN THE KITCHEN, BUT I’VE NEVER TRIED A “REALLY FRESH” ONE!! HOPE I’LL BE EATING KING CRAB SOON!!! BYE!!! RUTH!!!!! |
