Did you get a chance to feel how cold the water was? If so, was it cold?

Hi Michael!

When we went out on the "ice liberty," I was able to feel the water. I didn't go swimming ohmy.gif , but I did feel it with my hand, and even drank some from the meltwater ponds that formed (remember, ice is freshwater, so the meltwater is also freshwater). It tasted really good. Anyway, the water was pretty cold, right around freezing. The actual seawater was about 29 or 30 degrees F. If it was that cold, do you know why it wasn't frozen?

Thanks for the questions,

Steve
