Hello Robert,

One of my favorite recipes is both quick to make in the field and tastes pretty good. I make Ramin noodles and put a spoonful of Tom Yum paste in the water for the stock (rather than the flavor packet). Once the noodles are soft I put a big spoonful of peanut butter in along with a can of Kippered snacks. The resulting soup has lots of calories for the cold and tastes great too.

A second one is great for winter morning breakfasts. Just make instant mashed potatoes and add black bean flakes, chunks of cheese, and salsa. The resultant glop really sticks to your ribs. Better yet, when you begin to feel hungry a few hours later you can drink a bunch of water that will re-hydrate the glop that fills you up again!

I'm thinking of starting a restaurant when I retire....
