Summary (from July 18 to July 24) : They all went on the Gipanis and sailed for a long time. Surprisingly, Dinner is at 8:30 pm. Mrs. Nikula get's to bunk with only one person. Everyone played cribbage and had a friendly bet over who would get sea-sick first though that's taking a while. Mrs. Nikula almost missed lunch since she forgot it was earlier than normal and took a shower. There was a friendly bet pool over if they would be able to see Ketoy when they got to it or not since there was extremely thick fog.

New knowledge: Very foggy near Kurils. There is a very active volcano in the southern part of the Kurils. Russia has it's own kind of hot dog. mellow.gif

Questions: Have you found any interesting fish? If so, which is the most interesting, in your opinion?

By the end of the trip, I had seen MANY interesting fish. Lots of salmon, atka mackerel, and cod like fish. We also saw a few halibut even! The crew spent many days fishing off the Gipanis while we were onshore and we even ate some of them for dinner! VERY fresh fish, VERY yummy!
