it must've been really cold in that water...i know i wouldnt be able to do that..some tourists jump in the ocean here at Barrow... its cray

I couldn't resist. Also, because I was studying the carbon and the water cycles, I had to wear clothes to protect me from the water's cold since there were many days when I was actually working in the water. Check out the stories on South River and the Green Valley. You will be able to see pictures of us working in the rivers. By the way, we measured the temperature of one of the springs at 0 degrees C, the freezing point of water.
