About the Research
Annual hydrographic and biological sampling are undertaken at select time series sites to evaluate ecosystem dynamics in the Bering and Chukchi seas through a collaborative agreement with scientists at the Institute of Ocean Sciences, Canada. In addition, we are turning around time series moorings in the northern Bering Sea and Bering Strait for understanding climatic change both locally and in the Arctic. The multiple projects on this cruise are sponsored by the US National Science Foundation, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, and Office of Naval Research, and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
