Nicest weather of the trip so far. It was clear and sunny and about 35 degrees F. It was so nice, we ended having a little outside barbeque at dinner time. We brought computers, flow meters up to the lake and ferried it across the lake with the zodiacs. Last year, a weather station was set up and all the temperatures, barometric pressures, wind speeds, humidity and incoming solar radiation for the year were downloaded onto our laptop. We determined the flow and velocity of a river coming off the glacier. We also set up some level loggers to determine the change in the flow of the river coming off the river.. We then hiked up to a second weather station that was up on a moraine that was deposited by a glacier that was present in the Little Ice Age that occurred in the 1800’s. This glacier is now gone. What conditions caused this glacier to disappear. The more data we collect the more questions we have!!!!!!
