Hi patty, I am so interested to learn about your wonderful journey! I was wondering what you have been doing on the ship to kill time? It must be so cool to see all of the wild animals. Which kinds of animals have you seen so far and are you exited to learn about them? What is the coldest tempature so far? Have fun in the arctic. Megan |

Hi Megan,
They are keeping us very busy on the ship. We work 12 hour days. The rest of the time is filled with eating, sleeping, and standing on the bridge -- the area where the captain and crew pilot the Healy. From the bridge, I have a great view of the surrounding ice and waters. So far, we've seen seals, walruses, and many types of birds! -Patty |
