Dear Mrs. Kaden,

It's Zachary, Cowboy's brother. I was going to ask if you have found any new animals? I also wanted to ask if you found a new rock? Are the scientists going to allow you to bring back any samples? If so, can I have one? We all miss you and hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,

Zachary (AKA Cowboy's little brother)

Hi Zachary,

Greetings to you and Cowboy from the North Pole. I am glad having you in my class this year.

You are lucky- during answering your question we got a pipe (announcement over ships speaker system) "3 Polar bears bow, starboard side". It was a mother with two cubs just about 100 yards from the ship-a wonderful site. I will put a photo on the web. We frequently see seals in the water, the primary food of polar bears.

Yes, we find drop stones in the mud. They originate on land and get transported by the ice. I will bring some sedimentary mud to Hanna so you can look at it with a microscope.

Best regards and keep writing,

Your physics teacher
