We are traveling toward coring station 6. The plan is to take to JPC (Jumbo Piston Cores) and a multi core after surveying the area to determine the best location with a thick layer of recent soft sediments to get high resolution data. Today’s dinner will be prepared by the science crew. Available jobs reached from cooking, over serving to cleaning. I volunteered for the cooking. After discussing what to cook, Pizza was the most popular idea. Germans are not particularly well known for Pizzas. Thus, I will chop the onions and stay out of the way when the seasoning gets underway.
Here an encouraging comment from John Rand: “I think nobody can cook Pizza but Italians. We just put stuff on dough.” In summary, we are looking forward to dinner. I keep you informed.

The photos are from our last coring station 8/18-8/19/05
