Hi Tracy!
You are teaching me so much about Toolik - thank you! I love seeing the pictures of the flowers with their scientific names and pictures of your field site. Great job!

I am wondering if you can show a map with your location as well as longitude and latitude. That would really help me get a good sense of where you are. Thanks! tongue.gif

Maggie,

Hello! Thank you for your question. The latitude of Toolik Lake Research Station is 68 degrees and 38 minutes north and the longitude is 149 degrees and thirty-six minutes west. If you look at a map of Alaska, we are directly south of Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay about 129 miles south. We are located in the North Slope Borough.

I will try to incorporate a map into my journal with the latitude and longitude. That is a super suggestion!

Thanks for your great question!
