What a day! Today I flew to Fairbanks, Alaska. My day started out by leaving Tyler Pounds Field. My daughters drove me to the airport.
Jessicia and Juli in front of Tyler Pounds Field. Tyler is also called the Rose Capital I flew from Tyler to Houston, Houston to Seattle, and then Seattle to Fairbanks where I arrived at 12:30 AM. This is a much small airplane then I like to fly in! I had a three hour lay-over in the Seattle Airport that turned into a six hour lay-over. Finally, over the intercom came a man saying “as soon as the plane is fixed, then we will leave.” That made me what to go (run and hide). I arrived in Fairbanks and checked into the hotel. I didn’t realize how late it was. I snapped this picture and went to bed. The sun is still up at 2 am. This time of year northern Alaska has 24 hours of daylight. So ended day one. |
