Using an Interactive WebSite

Introduction:

Many different types of websites are considered "interactive." Common to all interactive websites is the ability to share information, either with other persons or programs to interpret information such as artificial intelligence. Many games, quizzes, surveys, and other online programs are also interactive in that the viewer submits information and receives a response.

Background Information:

What does interactive mean anyway?
Interactive refers to software that the child interacts with. Depending on what decisions are made at any given time the computer reacts. This implies that each time the child interacts with a program the program will react differently. This is the opposite of TV which is a passive media where children sit in front of a tube and the content is under the total control of the producer. The interactive aspect of this new media empowers the child with a sense of control and confidence. "
