Hi Dante,

I had to set my alarm to get up to see the sunset. It was pretty, but I don't know if I'd do that again! I was pretty sleepy.

We put little metal bands on the legs of snow geese. (Some students and I are out putting collars on caribou now, but collars don't go on birds. They would slip right off of their heads!) Once you have a goose captured, you hold it upside down in your lap and the legs are sticking up. The bands fit right around the leg just above the foot. You clamp them shut with a special type of pliers. And, yes, you try to keep them from biting and kicking you the whole time! It's not scary, but you do have to be paying attention or you will get a nice welt!
