Hey Mr C
I just got back today from Florida. it was really hot for the most part, like around 100 and humid. I went to Captiva Island for 2 days and swam in the Gulf of Mexico. It was especially hot there because there was no shade. You know how beaches in NE are usually freezing untill August? well the gulf of mexico was basically as hot as the air-it was no cooler than like 90. So it wasnt refreshing, and that is really a bummer because i got a sunburn and couldve really used that 50 degree Hampton Beach water. I dont usually burn but due to global warming and the uv rays i did. There was also a tornado right over sea from the beach we were at, I got to watch it form and everything. it was really cool. Have fun in Alaska.

Kelli,

You don't often hear people wishing for cooler water over warmer but I would have to agree with you. The arctic ocean was still nice even though it was really cold and Hampton is too.

I'm glad you are having a good summer vacation. Thanks for checking in.
