Mr. C,
I know that global warming is the heating up of the climate. I heard that global warming can cause a second ice age. Is that true? Can the heating up of the climate really cause that? If it can, how long would it take for us to go into a second ice age? (I just recently saw "The Day After Tomorrow" so that's why I'm wondering. GOD! IT WAS TERRIBLE!!!!!)
Also, if the polar ice caps melt, what about all the jet streams? Would the excess ocean water alter the jet streams? If so, how disasterous would this be?

Audrey,

There are parts of The Day After Tomorrow that are based on science but very, very loosely. I have a scene by scene discussion of this movie but I don't have it with me. I'll try to lay my hands on it to show you.
