Hallo Ute,

I am particularly interested in correlating patterns of weather, as a consequence of, the melting ice cap and the equator. Can you tell me if anyone (groups or individuals) are looking into the effects of the reduction of ice in the north and the increasing number of hurricanes from the equator? Especially with the hurricanes acting as a 'cooling' mechanism for the earth.

I will be introducing this unit to my students in the next few weeks and would like to make it possible for my students to ask the questions that someone may be able to answer directly to them.

Tschüs!
Kath
