Mr. Crumrine,

How do you think that global warming will affect New England and the fall foliage that we are so famous for?

Love,

Alvah and Kelli,

This is a great question. The whole story can be found at
Fall Foliage may disappear in New England

I hope you'll take a chance to read it. The story details how warming temperatures make for less than ideal foliage conditions. Cold and wet conditions are better for beautiful leaves and that is not the kind of falls that we have had in recent years.

The article also includes some other interesting global warming data. Maple syrup production has become more successful in Canada because it has become too warm in the fall and spring for optimal syrup making conditions.

Thanks for the good question.
