Ok because of global warming would all the lifeforms living up in the arctic become extinct or would they just evolve and adapt? Or is global warming happening too fast for that to happen? Yup...that's my question....

From the small amount of research that I have done into the literature I have read that animals will not necessarily go extinct. They may however change their patterns as a result of the warmer temperatures. I read of something in National Geographic about some birds and some worms. The migration of the birds and the emergence of the worms used to coincide but as temperatures have warmed the worms have begun to emerge earlier. This has had an affect on the amount of young the birds have had.

Also if you look at average freeze and thaw times of lakes they seem to be changing.
