how do the depth, temperature, and pH levels in arctic waters compare to other waters that are not in the arctic?

Dear Libby,
I'm going to leave that question for Max to answer, since I have no idea how the rivers in the Arctic compare to other rivers for the perimeters you asked about ( but I bet they are colder than most other rivers in the world!)
