So, here are a couple pictures of the airplane we took from Inuvik to Yellowknife. Inuvik is a community of about 3,000 and Yellowknife has a population of 20,000. As you can see the airplanes look a little different and have something different in the front. Can you figure out what that front part is, and why airplanes traveling to the Arctic would have them?????

I know, I know....but I'll wait to see if anyone else knows the answer They use these same planes to travel around to rural Alaska.
