Hi Logan,
We are doing many different experiments on the Healy. For instance, we have a UV meter that measures how far down light reaches into the sea. We are trawling with a net to see what types of sea animals are living at the bottom of the Bering Sea. We are also doing a “vanVeen grab” which means that we are collecting mud from the seafloor to sea what animals are living there, and for other data collection. There are many projects going on. I will be writing about all of them in the days to come. So be sure to continue reading my journals.
