That's really interesting to find out that about 80% of the people in Anaktuvuk Pass eat caribou. But how do u know that?..i mean how do u find out what percent of people eat caribou?

Hi Karlo,

The North Slope Borough Dept of Wildlife Management surveys hunters in all of the villages on the North Slope. They talk to people about their hunting success and about how much of their diets consist of subsistence foods. Anaktuvuk Pass is not a very big village, so it's easy to talk to almost everybody in town!
