Hi Tracy!
You are teaching me so much about Toolik - thank you! I love seeing the pictures of the flowers with their scientific names and pictures of your field site. Great job! I am wondering if you can show a map with your location as well as longitude and latitude. That would really help me get a good sense of where you are. Thanks! Maggie |

Hello! Thank you for your question. The latitude of Toolik Lake Research Station is 68 degrees and 38 minutes north and the longitude is 149 degrees and thirty-six minutes west. If you look at a map of Alaska, we are directly south of Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay about 129 miles south. We are located in the North Slope Borough. I will try to incorporate a map into my journal with the latitude and longitude. That is a super suggestion! Thanks for your great question! |
