Congrats on posting from a VERY remote place! Technology is amazing!

Sounds like the bears had a party with your gear! So I'm wondering what you will do now that you don't have any gas for the generator? Is more being flown in? What equipment were you planning on using that required the generator?

What is the kayak for? I hope you don't have to go far with so many holes and patches! smile.gif

Brian had stopped at the campsite in June when the area was flooded and assessed the damage, so we brought more gasoline with us. The generator is just to run my computer and recharge my phone and camera batteries. The kayak will be used to cross the river channels to get to other islands. Brian is hoping to get transects sampled on three more islands. We finished our island and are heading over to ABR island next (the island where the ABR biologists are camped!). He had two kayaks cached here: the inflatable one was destroyed but the foldable kayak was not touched. So, we put that together and will try it out today. I’ll send a picture!
