Fixing things, about repairs Options

when tools that you had brok were the breaks more structural breaks due to the envirnoment or were they actual electronic componet failing? I imagine that when you got the part delivered by kodiak that it was soemthign electrical that fried because those are much harder to fix with just your basic tools that you had. but the duck taape can fix basically anything.
