What implications could the quicker weather shifting have on the environment? How significant is this discovery?

Hmmm, Good question

I assume by quicker weather shifting, you mean shorter periods of cooling and warming.
That is a question the scientist are trying to determine. But these faster shifts could stress plants and animals living in the area and actually kill them off!!!!
