Mr. Oddo-

What can you learn about the lake from looking at the cores? What do the different layers mean? How do you transport the cores back to the states without disrupting the data?

just wondering

Great questions becca,

The cores give us information about sediment coming into the lake during various time periods. From this we have an idea what the climate was like. If there was more sediment/melting, it was warmer.

The cores were dried transported very carefully back to the states.

Thanks for the questions.
